After finishing the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht as a Master in Fashion Design, Maaike worked as a designer for several fashion brands just to discover that the part of the job she liked most, was the styling for the photo shoots. She did a course in fashion styling, assisted some freelance stylists and quickly got her own assignments as a freelancer for various magazines (a.o. Elle, Glamour, Linda.Meiden and Glamcult) and commercial clients. 

She is a perfectionist and likes to think about the whole concept: story, location, props, sphere etc. Maaike can draw inspiration from almost anything and turn it into a concept for a shoot.
